A heroic commander, a loyal crew, a dangerous new enemy, and, yes, a krogan. Well, if you didn’t shoot him anyway. If John Woo was going to direct Nicholas Cage in a Mass Effect movie, It would be the Citadel DLC
Explodey isn’t a word, but it damn well should be. Almost a year after Mass Effect 3′s launch we’re still receiving free multiplayer DLC content that continues to innovate and impress. I’ve always been a sucker for good class based multiplayer, and hey, where else can a biotic midget and a [...]
It’s hard to say goodbye. The final piece of Mass Effect 3 DLC, entitled Citadel, finally drops on March 5th for $15 or 1200 MS Points. This last piece of DLC promises “one final sentimental journey with Commander Shepard and their squad.” While this may be the last piece of [...]
The Mass Efffect universe is vast in scope. There are plenty of other stories to be told on other worlds, with other characters, from the perspectives of other races. I think it’s time to let Shepard retire and see what else is out there in the galaxy. I’m really curious, and excited, to see what Bioware comes up with next!
After a brief hiatus, I am back to playing The Old Republic. When a friend of mine linked me to an article reacting to the announcement of the expansion for The Old Republic: Rise of the Hutt Cartel, my interest was piqued. In addition to a new planet, higher level cap, etc., the expansion will introduce the long awaited “same-gender romances” which some players have been inquiring about since SWTOR launched. I was a little excited to say the least; would Nat’s Jedi Knight finally be able to romance the adorable apprentice, Kira Carsen?
I’m sure people are wondering why I am even bothering to write about a game which is almost 8 years old. In the interests of full disclosure, I hadn’t even played Jade Empire till last week at the insistence of @arch4ngel. Now that I have played, and loved the game, I want to talk about it.
Omega is definitely a fun addition which I would recommend for anyone looking to spend a couple more hours in the Mass Effect universe. Also, if you’d like to check out NA’s chat with Mass Effect producer Mike Gamble about the making of Omega, and Mass Effect in general, check out Rated NA 32: Omega Explosion.
Hmmmm…. “We’re in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?” This afternoon Mass Effect Executive producer Casey Hudson sent out a tweet that got the imaginations of Mass Effect fans working overtime. While this is something we’ve discussed at length on our podcast Rated NA, we’re elated to hear that Bioware is hard at work on a next-gen Mass Effect title. After a bit of stewing here is what we’d love to see.
Today marks a pretty special day for Mass Effect Fans everywhere, N7 Day! November 7th will (hopefully) forever be associated with one of the great space operas of our generation, Mass Effect. (Details)
