SWTOR Rise of the Hutt Cartel Expansion – Fear of a “Gay Planet”?

After a brief hiatus, I am back to playing The Old Republic. When a friend of mine linked me to an article reacting to the announcement of the expansion for The Old Republic: Rise of the Hutt Cartel, my interest was piqued. In addition to a new planet, higher level cap, etc., the expansion will introduce the long awaited “same-gender romances” which some players have been inquiring about since SWTOR launched. I was a little excited to say the least; would Nat’s Jedi Knight finally be able to romance the adorable apprentice, Kira Carsen?

Hmmmm…. “We’re in early stages of designing a completely new Mass Effect game. What would you want to see in it?” This afternoon Mass Effect Executive producer Casey Hudson sent out a tweet that got the imaginations of Mass Effect fans working overtime. While this is something we’ve discussed at length on our podcast Rated NA, we’re elated to hear that Bioware is hard at work on a next-gen Mass Effect title. After a bit of stewing here is what we’d love to see.

An alloy is described as “A metal made by combining two or more metallic elements, esp. to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.” This weekend, by promoting two or more of your characters in ME3MP you can bolster the war effort and help save the whole freakin’ universe! On top of all that universe saving mumbo-jumbo, you’ll also receive a commendation pack filled with goodies as well as a victory pack if 50,000 characters total are promoted. As always, if they keep making it and we’ll keep playing it. We have a crush on ME3MP.

We here at Nerd Appropriate fell in love with Courtenay’s voice acting after her stellar portrayal of Subject 13/Jack in both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. It took a special actor to pull off Jack’s soft-on-the-inside persona, and that actor was Courtenay Taylor.

Like many of you I grew up watching Saturday morning cartoons. As a matter of fact, I called Saturday “cartoon day” until I was about seven years old. Back in the golden era of Saturday morning animated entertainment we had incredible (yet bizzaro) shows like Transformers, Thundercats, and the U.S.A. Cartoon Express. While programming like Star Wars: The Clone Wars still provides kids with a bit of “magic”, I fear that the days of utterly ridiculous 80s-style cartoons are long gone… Enjoy this April fools joke from the fine folks at IGN. For the record… I would watch the poop out of this show.
