I originally watched this clip over at Kotaku just to see some new footage of Gears 3, but what I discovered was that this clip was actually a very well produced segment on how the video game industry operates. It also goes into detail on where the major U.S. players reside, how much games really cost to produce as well as the manpower needed to produce a “AAA” title.

Liam Neeson returns to Star Wars!

I remember lining up all day in Tampa to see the Phantom Menace on opening day.  The conditions at the theater were terrible: Broken AC, blurry lens, and a terrible crowd.  I ended up leaving the theater feeling a bit drained, like someone had siphoned the “force” right out of me.  The movie wasn’t what I was expecting, but there was one thing I loved about the phantom menace and that was Liam Neeson’s portrayal of Qui-Gon Jin.

Just got wind that Anne Hathaway has indeed signed on as Catwoman. You may know Ms. Hathaway from films such as Alice in Wonderland and Get Smart. Convention Report: Orlando Otronicon 2011

Orlando is known for many things: tourists, bad drivers, strip malls, theme parks, and conventions. Luckily for us, Orlando is a relatively convention heavy city. If you like science fiction, comic books, movies, and gaming, it’s actually not a bad place to hang your hat. Each year at the Orlando Science Center we’re lucky enough to have Otronicon, a convention that focuses on gaming and new technology. I’m happy to say that 2011’s Otronicon is the best yet.
