Stoic recently completed their $100,000 Kickstarter campaign for the Banner Saga and ended up surpassing their goal by a whopping $623,000. Apparently people like their turn based strategy. As a backer I felt entitled to check the game out inside the colossal Indie Mega Booth at this year’s PAX: Prime. Is this a banner worth flying?

The Sidekick follows super hero sidekick Max McCabe on a journey of self discovery after his disastrous final mission with Captain Wonder (played by a wonderfully dry Ron Livingston). Created as a way to cope with turning forty, actor-writer Rob Benedict successfully assembled a team of super-talented friends to help out with the film including Martin Starr, Lizzy Caplan, Richard Speight Jr., Jordan Peele, Jason Ritter, and Josh Meyers.

ComicCon-logoOne of the highlights of this year’s Comic-Con adventure was, without a doubt, getting to wander the decks of the Jackdaw after the sun set on San Diego. To help promote the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft converted the Star of India (the world’s oldest active sailing ship) into a replica of the Jackdaw for a weekend of pirate themed debauchery.
