Upon arriving at PAX East on Friday morning I quickly followed the herd of anxious
enthusiasts to one of the longest lines I would wait in all weekend. After a few probing
questions, I discovered that I was in line to hear the keynote speaker of the convention,

Epic Games dropped by Orlando to show off Gears of War: Judgment and we were lucky enough to get our hands on the brand new OverRun mode. If you were at all worried about the franchise you can exhale, it’s still incredible, and quite possibly better and more complex than ever before.
Tonight Microsoft is hosting a live event on XBL (8pm EST / 5pm PST) that promises to reveal some new details on Gears of War: Judgment, including the new Aftermath and Survival modes. Viewers will also be able to influence the content of the live broadcast by sending tweets with the #GearsJudgment tag.

Quite possibly the biggest piece of gaming news in recent months was the rise and fall of 38 Studios.
