This is a short list of five things we’d love to see from Joss Whedon’s newly announced S.H.I.E.L.D. television series for ABC.

Here we go again. PAX: Prime is here and this we brought backup! Scott, Hilary and myself will all be attending this year’s PAX: Prime, also known as the most gamer-friendly convention in all the land. While we’ve covered a ton of conventions this year (including SDCC, PAX: East, and SWCVI) there is something extra special about PAX: Prime in Seattle. As I stated last year, PAX is a magical place sprinkled with innovation, loud music, and rabid gamers. Barring a severe case of PAX-POX, it’s close to impossible to not have a great time.
Ash and Scott return from Star Wars Celebration VI to bring you tales of fun from a galaxy far, far away. We do spoiler-free talk about the season finale’s of Newsroom and True Blood. And, in the spirit of SWCVI, we ask: What is your Bounty Hunter name? Hijinks ensue as the gang prepares for PAX Prime. We’re going to need a bigger bacta tank.
Alternate working title, “Inside the Ackbar Studio,” Tim Rose and Mike Quinn talk about their experiences as puppet masters, working with Jim Henson and The Muppets, Star Wars, and how Rose was fired off ROTJ by Harrison Ford… sort of.
An audio adventure including the talent of James Arnold Taylor, Dee Bradley Baker , Ashley Eckstein , Tom Kane (Yoda), and Matt Lanter .
My love of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is not a well guarded secret. As a series, the Clone Wars continues to get better and better with each passing season and magically manages to deliver the same action and storytelling nuance that made the Star Wars of old the legend that it is today. I was lucky enough to attend the Clone Wars season five premiere and subsequent press conference at Star Wars Celebration VI, and even got a few bags of force infused popcorn to munch on while we watched! It really did taste better than regular popcorn.
An alloy is described as “A metal made by combining two or more metallic elements, esp. to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.” This weekend, by promoting two or more of your characters in ME3MP you can bolster the war effort and help save the whole freakin’ universe! On top of all that universe saving mumbo-jumbo, you’ll also receive a commendation pack filled with goodies as well as a victory pack if 50,000 characters total are promoted. As always, if they keep making it and we’ll keep playing it. We have a crush on ME3MP.
The gang gets into karaoke in the QOTW. We talk SWCVI, PAX Prime, tech business, Avengers 2, and Capcom’s Remember me. We review ME3’s Firefight DLC, Nexus 7, Orcs Must Die 2, Risen 2, Darksiders 2, and Bourne Legacy. Special thanks this week to Mark Dago for the Star Wars inspired track Knightfall, available at markdago.bandcamp.com
Episodes 1-70 are now available for download on iTunes! Relive the hijinks.
The second BioWare panel at Geek Girl Con titled, “Myth of the Female Gamer Perspective,” was an attempt to explore and generate discussion on what can be a polarizing topic. Karin Weekes (senior editor) moderated the panel while the panelists included were: Sheryl Chee (writer); Jessica Merizan (community manager); Sarah Hayward (cinematic designer); Melanie Fleming (localization producer) and Kris Schoneberg (level designer).
It’s Karaoke Night at the Purgatory Bar (ladies drink free). What song are you singing?
This review is going to be difficult. Not because the book was so incredibly horrifying, but because I am a bit embarrassed to admit I actually read 50 Shades of Grey.
