Today marks a pretty special day for Mass Effect Fans everywhere, N7 Day! November 7th will (hopefully) forever be associated with one of the great space operas of our generation, Mass Effect. (Details)
Thursday night we had the pleasure of helping put together a small gathering of community friends in celebration of PAX: Prime, and we couldn’t have asked for a more memorable experience. What started out as a casual cup of coffee with friends turned into one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had at a convention.
An alloy is described as “A metal made by combining two or more metallic elements, esp. to give greater strength or resistance to corrosion.” This weekend, by promoting two or more of your characters in ME3MP you can bolster the war effort and help save the whole freakin’ universe! On top of all that universe saving mumbo-jumbo, you’ll also receive a commendation pack filled with goodies as well as a victory pack if 50,000 characters total are promoted. As always, if they keep making it and we’ll keep playing it. We have a crush on ME3MP.
When we set out to create our very first official Nerd Appropriate community game night, we didn’t really know what to expect. In all honesty we were just looking for an excuse to meet some new players, hang out with friends, and shoot some virtual bad guys. We’re elated to say that our community game night went better than we could have ever anticipated. With dozens of players from all over the world signing up to have some fun, we were able to run five eight person squads for over four hours with new players filtering in and out!
We here at Nerd Appropriate fell in love with Courtenay’s voice acting after her stellar portrayal of Subject 13/Jack in both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3. It took a special actor to pull off Jack’s soft-on-the-inside persona, and that actor was Courtenay Taylor.
I sacrifice everything, there’s galactic peace, but, what do I get out of it?
Nothing. But, then, then there’s control. Shepard essentially becomes, well, god-like.
Sure, the moral form dies, but, all that power? There’s something to gain from this….
Operation Silencer has been deemed a failure. Even though we here at NA killed a few thousand banshees on our own this weekend, we apparently didn't help as much as we needed to! I have to admit, when I first…
First off, thanks for allowing me this opportunity to write my first blog post for Nerd Appropriate! How exciting! Speaking of exciting things, I had the pleasure of attending the West Hollywood launch event for Mass Effect 3. Take Earth back!
We’ve been waiting for information about the Mass Effect 3 mobile experience for quite some time. As a matter of fact, we listed some predictions last November here on the site, and it appears as though Bioware agreed with a lot of what we had to say (thx!). Let’s take a look.
What a treat for Mass Effect fans. I’ve been wanting to write about this amazing recording done by voice actress Kimberly Brooks for quite some time, but with my
internet on the fritzthe Reapers attacked I haven’t had the opportunity. Recently Kimberly Brooks did an incredible voice recording of Ashley’s e-mail to Shepard following their heated meeting on Horizon during the events of Mass Effect 2.
While I was away apparently someone translated our entire Alli Hillis Interview into Russian… wait.. what?
Holly and the folks at Crabcat are in many ways one of us, massive fans of video games and nerd culture who just happen to be a whole lot better at costuming than many of us will ever be. Check out our conversation with Crabcat’s Holly Conrad!
