How fast does it take to get from Santa Monica to San Diego? Under 12 parsecs? Chris Hardwick and the fine folks at Nerdist Industries are hosting a force filled Star Wars relay race from Santa Monica, CA all the way to a nerd-frenzied San Diego Comic-Con… and we’ll be there.
Since we last posted about our buddy Brea Grant’s upcoming feature film Best Friends Forever, their kickstarter campaign has picked up a lot steam with donations from all around the world. With only SIX days left, they need a bit more of our help to cover post-production costs (they shot on expensive 16mm). As you guys are probably well aware, if the goal of 75K isn’t met, all of the funding goes *poof*.
Last we we had the pleasure of attending Nerd HQ during Comic Con 2011 and it was a total blast. If you’ve never heard of Nerd HQ, or perhaps wanted to see the panels for yourself… well now you can! The fine folks at Nerd Machine have posted all of their panels on YouTube for nerds everywhere to enjoy. So….Zachary Levi, Danny Pudi, Jorge Garcia, Olivia Munn, Alison Haislip, Alessandra Torresani, and Josh Gomez- The Friends of the Nerdolution Panel was one of the best convention-experiences I’ve ever had and I’m still sort of in awe that it occurred at all. You know when you have a really awesome dream and wake up the next morning thinking that it may have been a little bit real? That’s sort of how I feel this morning. The panel was an hour+ of hanging out with some of my favorite entertainers on the planet in a small room no bigger than a 7-11.
Here we go! Comic-Con 2011. It seems like just yesterday I was at the Convention Center wading through a sticky sea of nerdery. Wednesday travel news and Thursday panel information.

I owe Attack of the Show a lot (No, G4 doesn’t pay my bills or anything like that). What AOTS does do, is keep me sane. The self proclaimed “…only source for all the stuff you care about” is about to undergo a massive relaunch, and we here at Nerd Appropriate could not be more excited.
Today we talk Google and their many announcements, Candace Bailey on AOTS, Dead Space 2, and George Lucas buying dead people. We review the deck building, table top Resident Evil game, and give our previews for the Spike VGAs, then if you stick around, it’s EMBARRASSING STORY TIME with Ash.
