We featured The Sidekick as one of the five panels that should not be missed at this year’s Comic-Con, but were we right? The Sidekick follows super hero sidekick Max McCabe on a journey of self discovery after his disastrous final mission with Captain Wonder (played by a wonderfully dry Ron Livingston). Created as a way to cope with turning forty, actor-writer Rob Benedict successfully assembled a team of super-talented friends to help out with the film including Martin Starr, Lizzy Caplan, Richard Speight Jr., Jordan Peele, Jason Ritter, and Josh Meyers.
Every year that I go to Comic-Con I do my best to check out some panels and events that aren’t massive studio funded spectacles. Here some of the panels happening next week that you should add to your list.
Remember the days when you had all sorts of free time on your hands? When it wasn't a big deal to say to a few friends, 'Hey, let's get together for a game night'? Now our lives are full of…
After recovering from our “wife swap” episode with Reset Transmission, the gang is all back together for a very special episode 61. This week we’re delving into the realm of music and we need your answers to make our podcast the best it can be. As always, we’d love if you stopped by our iTunes page to give us a review or rating (the more stars the better).
We’ve been following the adventures of Allie ‘CossbySweater’ Goertz since we first became smitten with her incredibly catchy love letter to Dungeons and Dragons (tonight). Being huge fans of fantasy, wizards, unicorns, and hobbits we’re elated to share Allie’s latest opus with you all. Enjoy The Hobbit Song, hairy feet and all.
We've become big fans of Allie's music as well as her incredible writing. We were elated to hear that Allie, like us, is a huge fan of Judd Apatow's Freaks and Geeks (which lives on in all of our nerdy…
Super nerd Jason Segal is a massive Muppets fan, and he happens to also like some great music. The folks behind the new Muppet movie were cool enough to give us an embed to stream the entire Muppet album. I should also note that if you’re not a fan of the Muppets you may have sold your soul to some creep in an ally someplace.
Most of you by now have seen Judd Apatow’s masterpiece Freaks and Geeks. For those that haven’t, Freaks and Geeks was a shamefully short-lived comedy/drama that originally aired on NBC in 1999. Due to some poor ratings, only 18 episodes were ever produced. Freaks and Geeks was a show about “the other” people in high school.
