With the addition of Battle.net and authenticators, one would think that the age of mass password hacks would be over, sadly they are not. With virtual gold that’s often times worth more than some actual real world currencies, hacking a World of Warcraft or Diablo account can be worth a lot of REAL money. For instance in China, the average person is currently making around 665 Yuans a month or $104 U.S. (source) . This would mean that the theft of $100,000 WOW gold could net a Blizzard account pirate a month’s pay in China (as the average exchange rate is $10 for 10,000 WOW gold). If no market existed, the hacking wouldn’t be half as bad as it is today
Every once in a while our good friend aXL99 creates some of her incredible nerd-infused art live for all to see. For those that aren’t aware, aXL99 was featured heavily in this summer’s Bioware art contest and was recently Bioware’s featured fan artist (shes that good).
After multiple rounds of sales and many people interested (including Google, Microsoft and more), Hulu announced on their blog yesterday that they are canceling the sale entirely. They did not find an offer that they felt suited their earning potential, so they…
People still think the game is just for “nerds” and social misfits. I would argue that D&D is for anyone that likes adventure, laughing with friends, and imagination. The people I play with are teachers, pilots, doctors, chefs and animal trainers. No matter who you are or where you are in life Dungeons and Dragons will always be around for you to roll some dice and have a damn good time. Allie Goertz pretty much sums up how we all feel about the mother of all RPGs… A great place to just get away… She, as well as this video, are about to blow up… you’ll see.
G4 is one of the few reasons I’m hanging onto cable. Few channels offer up exactly the type of programming I feel like watching after a long day at work. Yeah, it can be silly, juvenile, and repulsive, but so can I! Today G4 offers up a wide variety of programming geared toward America’s new national holiday, “April the Twentieth”.

You may remember a few weeks ago we had our friend Chris Bromby on the podcast to talk about his work on the video game for Wii based on Tron: Legacy. At that time he mentioned that there was a…
Tomorrow marks a very special day for us here at Nerd Appropriate. A day when us nerds march waste deep through the swamps of ‘Nam to rid the world of communists! At some point tomorrow both PSN and XBL will Make Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam available for download. Why are we excited? Well a few of us thought that Bad Company 2 with its updated Frostbite engine was actually a better game than CODBLOPS. We always like rooting for the underdog.
I put an ish on there because...well, we haven't really planned it out among ourselves yet. It is Thursday, we have some nerdish things to talk about and we are good to go, so we'll see you all in the…
