This just in folks.  According to Christina Norman, lead game play designer of Mass Effect 2 there will be no GOTY edition of ME2.

Q: Is there any chance of a Mass Effect 2 Game of the Year edition with all the DLC?

So there you have it. If you were waiting for some fancy edition with all the previously available DLC and maybe some extra goodies, you’re sadly out of luck.

Story, a Powerful Ally

For most players, it is obvious that gameplay is king. Game sales are currently dominated by sports, multiplayer FPS, and rhythm games. Everyone knows at least one person whose game shelf is dominated by multiple “years” of sports titles or series’ of online frag-fests. For me, however, storytelling trumps everything.

    While I’d like to believe them, this comes from the same people that said “Mass Effect 2 will not be coming to the PS3. Period.” for months.
