We play all the games at PAX: East 2019 – Afterparty, Borderlands 3, RAD, Divinity: Fallen Heroes, and more!
On November 1st, the unconventional and storied game company Double Fine and creative juggernaut iam8bit teamed up to host the second annual Day of the Devs in downtown San Francisco, California. In the spirit of a family gathering, Day of…
The guys get together for a whole mess of gaming discussion: Borderlands 2, FUSE, D&D, Gears of War, Double Fine, KOTOR, The Starship Damrey, Combo Crew, and Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre. Seriously. Finally, we discuss the high standards we set for the NAQOTW and reach into the ol’ mail sack. Whew.
Descend into adventure puzzling shenanigans in SEGA & Double Fine’s upcoming game, The Cave.
On this final podcast of 2012 we take a look back at some of our favorite things. We talk THQ, Amazon TV, and Windows Phone, and review some highly addicting games in Middle Manager of Justice and FTL: Faster than Light. Finally, you tell us your top 5 things from this year. We couldn’t do it without you, thanks for listening! Here’s to a great 2013!
The Cave is an upcoming Double Fine, 2D adventure game from Maniac Mansion mastermind Ron Gilbert. We get our hands dirty as we explore the first 20 minutes of the Cave at PAX Prime 2012. Total awesome-sauce.
Since none of us won the mega lottery, we’re back! We talk about fan-made Wing Commander, KickStarter, Harry Potter, New comic-based TV cartoons, SEGA’s woes, and the new Superman. We take a look at Angry Birds in Space, (now with gravitational pull), and give early impressions of Kid Icarus uprising for the 3DS. Finally, we look ahead to convention season and talk about your most anticipated releases this year. Special thanks to Jimmy Hinson (aka Big Giant Circles) for rejoin music from the album Legacy, featuring unused material originally intended for Mass Effect 2. Awesome!
Double Fine proves the world still loves adventure games. We talk about Mass Effect 3 (naturally), and a Blizzard update. We give early KoA: Reckoning impressions, Matt brings his Oscar Deathmatch Challenge, and we review Hero Academy, Fear Agent TPB, a Conan comic, and look back at the SWTOR: The first 50 levels. Finally we talk about nerdy Valentine’s Day gifts. Special thanks to Magnus Palsson (aka SoulEye) for our featured track, “Pushing Onwards” from VVVVVV! er… I mean Iron Brigade, will we ever stop finding uses for the phrase “Get your Ass to Mars!” ?
Reviewing Double Fine’s Trenched actually gave me trench foot! Okay, maybe I didn’t actually get trench-foot (which is nothing to joke about), but I did have such an amazing time playing Trenched that I didn’t move away from the television for a few days. If my feet had in fact been soaking in disease infested waters, I for sure WOULD have gotten trench foot, or as I affectionately call it “The Foot”.
We are already itching for more TRENCHED content. In the meantime, while you’re trying to get more gold medals on those missions, do it with style! Sign up for the Two Headed Baby Brigade (best name ever) Newsletter on the http://trenchedgame.com web site in order to receive the Orange Camouflage Double Fine Paint Job for FREE.
IT'S AN M-F'ING MECH GAME MADE BY DOUBLE FINE!!!! JUST GO BUY IT!!!! Full review coming from one of us later, but yeah, it's that awesome.
