I had the pleasure of trying out Dragon Age II over the summer at San Diego Comic Con 2010. Was I a lucky member of the press whisked away to some dark room to spend hours with the game? No, absolutely not. I waited in a long line with other passionate fans for about an hour to get my hands on an early build of the game. As I told a number of my friends, the game looked and felt amazing. Combat had been sped up, and everything felt more fluid and tactile.
Adam Sessler has been writing about, and reviewing games for an incredibly long time. Love him or hate him, the man really knows his stuff. This evening I stumbled across this incredible video of Adam discussing what skills are really needed to start a career as a game journalist and I couldn’t agree with the man more. While Nerd Appropriate is still but a tiny spec of sand in the vast desert wasteland of game journalism, we’ve had an incredible year and have learned a hell of a lot. Having met Mr.Sessler a few times I can say with total certainty that he is very much the real deal, a passionate gamer that truly feels video games are a work of art… Enjoy!
