I’m going to fill you in on a little secret… Nerd Appropriate is run by THREE people who all have full time jobs. This means that the bulk of Nerd Appropriate’s content is magically created during our “off hours“. Am I complaining? Hell no! The site is an absolute blast, and we have YOU to thank for its success. April was a bit of a struggle for us, but we still managed to provide a sizable chunk of new and exclusive content! Take a look at what you may have missed this April, and the metric butt-ton of stuff coming your way this May.
Interviews
Ashley Eckstein – Star Wars: The Clone Wars ” I practically grew up at the Civic Theatre of Central Florida, which is now called The Orlando Repertory Theatre, and that’s where I got my start in acting when I played Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker. I also have many favorite places to eat in Orlando. My husband and I LOVE the pizza at Positanos and I am so excited that Orlando now has a Pinkberry!”
Scott Krinsky – NBC’s Chuck – “I felt like I got to live out a bit of my own childhood through Jeff in that episode. I still love to play those games when I come across an arcade. It’s great to play them old school standing up and not sittng on your couch or the floor in front of your TV.”
Comedy Central’s Workaholics – Kyle Newacheck and Adam Devine – “I think the most challenging aspect of my job is balancing the comedy with the logistics. Sometimes we’ll write something big and funny, and then I need to take it to production and find a way to make it work with the budget and the time constraints. Being a start up show, I faced many challenges trying to pull off certain shots and stunts. For the record, I like those types of challenges.”
Sean Hackett – Director/Writer/Producer of Homecoming – “By the end of the day, I had probably run 20 miles while directing/acting/producing without realizing it. I was fine until the minute we got into the parking lot, where I went into a cold fever and was very dehydrated. The doctors ran five I.V.s into my arm and hooked me up with some steroids.”
Articles?
Scott wrote some incredible articles you can check out here. I should also point out that Scott took over editing our podcasts which take a ton of time to publish. We should be all caught up this month that you can actually listen to news while it’s still newsworthy!
Matt ran our first contest, and we got a nice new batch of followers on the ol’ Twitter. Thanks man!
I pooped out another batch of articles and reviews, and focused a bit more on film as it was a slow month for gaming. Oh yeah, I spent the last half of the month deeply engrossed in the Gears of War 3 Beta.
