While both X-Play and AOTS may be going away forever in December, I doubt we’ve seen the last of the cast and crew. I do have to say that I’ll miss is seeing the X-Play posse storm into the tiny press room at PAX: Prime quite a bit. Like it or not, the loss of G4 (in its current incarnation) is a terrible blow to fans of video games and nerd culture everywhere. Perhaps one day we’ll see everyone back together under a new name, rising from the ashes like the proverbial phoenix. Best of luck guys, and thanks.
The presence of electronic gaming has grown each and every year at San Diego Comic-Con International, and this year is the absolute biggest year yet. SDCC will host a number of panels revolving around some of the hottest video game franchises in existence, and we’ll sure do our best to provide the best coverage possible. Take a quick look at the video game related programming for Thursday and Friday at SDCC 2012.
As a total Gears fanboy it was a little surreal sitting next to Dominic Santiago (Carlos Ferro), COG Gear (Isaiah “old spice guy” Mustafah) and the “Cole Train” himself (Lester Speight) when their names were announced to a capacity crowd. Also in our row was the ever-nerdy Morgan Web, L337Lauren, and a more.
Just got a press release from G4. Tonight is the night we find out X-play’s opinion on the best and worst of E3 2011.
I owe Attack of the Show a lot (No, G4 doesn’t pay my bills or anything like that). What AOTS does do, is keep me sane. The self proclaimed “…only source for all the stuff you care about” is about to undergo a massive relaunch, and we here at Nerd Appropriate could not be more excited.
