Bioware will have a large presence at this year’s San Diego Comic Con! On top of having their own setup right outside the convention center (in the gas-lamp), complete with demos of Mass Effect 3, SWTOR, and the new Dragon Age II DLC, Bioware will aslo be be participating in a handful of panels.

*UPDATED* – If you pre-ordered before January 11th you gain access to a Mabari Warhound pet (not like a WOW cosmetic pet, this one kills things) as well as the key to the Black Emporium, a shop so diabolical only people crazy enough to pre-order will gain access. What is inside? Nobody knows for sure, although there are rumblings of The Mirror of Transformation which can be used to alter your appearance after the game has already begun.
I had the pleasure of trying out Dragon Age II over the summer at San Diego Comic Con 2010. Was I a lucky member of the press whisked away to some dark room to spend hours with the game? No, absolutely not. I waited in a long line with other passionate fans for about an hour to get my hands on an early build of the game. As I told a number of my friends, the game looked and felt amazing. Combat had been sped up, and everything felt more fluid and tactile.
Games have been amazing this year. Developers are finally figuring out how to push this generation’s consoles to their limit. There have been so many amazing titles this year, that many gamers like myself were forced to skip well reviewed games in order to have a bit a of a life outside of gaming (just a bit.. sigh).
