    What if I told you, it doesn’t matter if you’re in a complete friendship or rivalry in order to romance in DA2? I was in complete rivalry and completed a romance with him.

    Scott is such a nerd, I didn’t get into OM either, but to answer Ash’s question, yes, most of them went on to higher level degrees than us lowly non OM kids.

      We didn’t even have OM! I grew up on an island and all we seriously did was catch lizards and build tree forts all day.

    I found with Fenris in DA2, whether you’re a mage, and his friend or not… he treats you COMPLETELY different. Until I played someone who wasn’t pro-mage, I didn’t ‘get’ him. But if you share similar ideals he opens up so much more. Agree with getting past his ‘shell’.

    Miellyn, I am completely with you on being more likely to play a game if I can be a girl. To the point that if there are ‘options’ and none of them are women, or if I have to search for women in anything? It really is a put off for me.

    I’m in the ‘please don’t make a Shepard movie’, I feel like it would force a lot of things to be canon and just be painful in a lot of ways really, because it wouldn’t suit the choices that anyone made.

      Who did you Romance in DA2 Amanda? I played through as each one of the classes and ended up feeling as though the non-relationship with Isabella was my favorite. I also watched my wife try desperately to romance Sebastian…. oops.

        Aaaahhh I may have played it enough times to romance most of them as a fem Hawke. Played all the classes, and was really surprised how who you are and how Hawke talks affects how the companions and romance interests react to you 🙂 there was a lot of diversity! I don’t know if I could pick a favourite, Fenris and Merrill really grew on me, for the depth they have.

      Also, I think there are a lot of women gamers who feel that way. I think (hope) more the big companies are finally starting to take note.

        I find it really empowering to be able to play it as a woman. Even if it’s just a simple game, no voice, small pixels etc. It makes me feel visible, it makes me feel, hey developers think I’m a person too! 😛
