NA ME3 LEVIATHAN

Mass Effect 3: Leviathan DLC Unleashed!

Unleash the Leviathan!  From the moment players got their hands on ME3 they’ve been clamoring for DLC that delves into the history of the franchise’s “big bad”, The Reapers.  Moments ago at the EA summer showcase, Mass Effect fans got their wish.  The Mass Effect 3 Leviathan DLC is coming very soon, and it looks to be filled with all new locations, dialog, and adventures.

INFO: Something lurks in the dark corners of space, something powerful enough to kill a Reaper. Shepard must discover the most closely guarded secret in the galaxy before the Reapers silence it forever. Discover more about the origins of the Reapers as you race across the galaxy to find the Leviathan. Unravel the dark history of the Reaper Race before it is too late. Coming later this summer there is no war, only the harvest. (Source)

INFO: Taking place during the events of Mass Effect 3, players will be thrust into the darkest corners of space where they will hunt a mysterious being rumored to be powerful enough to destroy a Reaper. As they race against time, they will begin to unravel the secret of the Leviathan. Explore uncharted systems and new areas on the Citadel, interact with brand new characters, unlock the AT-12 Raider shotgun and M-55 Argus Assault Rifle and discover more about the mysterious history of the Reapers. How will this work? : Like Mass Effect 2’s DLC, players will be able to use a save file that takes place before “end game.”  In ME3 that means players will be able to use a save file that was created before the attack on Cerberus HQ, or one that was created after completing the game (which exists in time before the Cerberus attack).

How much will it cost?: No price was revealed, but something tells me this one probably won’t be free.  These things cost money to make gang!

How long will it take to complete Leviathan?: While this information hasn’t been released, we’re assuming that the content will be comparable in length to the ME2 DLC Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, etc.  So, about 2 to 3 hours if you take your time.  Again, we could be wrong.

Is that voice at the end of the trailer Bane from The Dark Knight Rises?: No… Bane sounds more like a Sean Connery on laughing gas.

Shepard isn’t alone this time again right?: Nope, it looks like the whole gang is along for the ride.

Will this increase my galactic readiness level?: Again, no new assets have been announced, but you can probably bank on some fun new stuff to increase the size of your flaccid galactic readiness level.

Oh yeah, shameless plug, keep an eye on NerdAppropriate.com because this Tuesday we’re launching episode 70 of our podcast Rated NA, with none other than Commander Shepard herself, Jennifer Hale… it’s galactic in scale!

I saw on the bioware feed that it will be costing 800pts or $10 for this, and that there will also be a weapon pack that can be had for 160pts/$2.

Can’t wait. I may do a full playthrough with all the DLC. Haven’t touched my bro-shep characters in ME3 yet.
