What is it about a bunch of anthropomorphic cat people that has the internet in such a frenzy? Wondercon showed the world the first glimpse of the all new Thundercats in action, and I couldn’t be more excited. You see, I used to wake up an extra hour early for elementary school in order to watch Thundercats in the morning. There was something wonderful about popping out of bed before dawn, eating some cereal, and watching Lion-O stomp Mumrah’s ever-living ass. Apparently I’m not the only nerd who is excited about the new Thundercats trailer, as the internet is going crazy for this clip. I really don’t know how to feel about this one. I for one loved the mythology that the Lion-O was a kid in adult body. This seems to be totally missing from the new mythology. I’m thinking we get to see the decimation of the “cats” at the hands of the mutants this time around though, which could be very cool.
CG mechs? I dunno yet…
