Two icons in varying genres have now passed on in a day. Irvin Kershner was the director of The Empire Strikes Back, Robocop 2, and Never Say Never Again.

The story behind Empire is pretty amazing. Its a shame that most people don’t even realize that Lucas didn’t direct Empire.
Sadly, that’s why it was the best one.
