For the third day we venture out into the streets beyond the con to see what we’ll find. Lo and behold, we found plenty. We say it every year but if you can’t get a pass or just can’t get a pass for all 4 days there is a ton to do outside of the con. From the Adult Swim carnival and the FX themed park to the craziness of 5th Street. Then for some reason Dwight Howard…I dunno, I just saw him and took a picture. Enjoy!
Zombies have always been a big part of my life. My first exposure to zombies came at a very young age when George Romero was filming Day of the Dead on Sanibel Island. Actors in full Savini makeup showed up at my elementary school to pick up their kids and as soon as I saw their beautiful disfigured faces, I was hooked.
While it’s not nice to pick favorites, the cast of the History’s first live action television series Vikings pillaged their way into my heart during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con and offered up one of my favorite experiences of the the entire show. On deck this year were Travis Fimmel (Ragnar Lothbrok), Clive Standen (Rollo Lothbrok), Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn “Ironside” Lothbrok) and Michael Hirst (creator/writer).
