SDCC day 3: The streets of San Diego

For the third day we venture out into the streets beyond the con to see what we’ll find. Lo and behold, we found plenty. We say it every year but if you can’t get a pass or just can’t get a pass for all 4 days there is a ton to do outside of the con. From the Adult Swim carnival and the FX themed park to the craziness of 5th Street. Then for some reason Dwight Howard…I dunno, I just saw him and took a picture. Enjoy!
Comic-Con 2013: Time to Step Up – Ensuring a Safe Place and Geeky Fun for All
Like so many people who did not attend San Diego Comic Con I’ve been pouring over the post-convention news and analysis; searching for scraps of information of what geeky goodness is to come in entertainment. However, the article that stood out most to me wasn’t the news of a Superman/Batman movie (Aside: I kind of wrinkled my nose at that), but of an individual describing his experience in Hall H for a day.
Comic-Con 2013: On the Deck of the Jackdaw – Black Flags in the Sunset
One of the highlights of this year’s Comic-Con adventure was, without a doubt, getting to wander the decks of the Jackdaw after the sun set on San Diego. To help promote the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Ubisoft converted the Star of India (the world’s oldest active sailing ship) into a replica of the Jackdaw for a weekend of pirate themed debauchery.
