Gears of War 3: The end of beta! (sadness) & Collector’s edition contents! (joy)

The Gears 3 Beta is over. Sadness ensues. Gears fans will have to wait all the way until September 20th in order to witness the climatic conclusion of Epic’s gory masterpiece. The Beta was a well organized frag fest that offered up very few headaches, and a whole lot of fun. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Final Justice Review

Eleven Years. Eleven Years ago I was playing Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 on arcade cabinet deep within the recesses of the USF student union. Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 was largely to blame for me failing out of college that semester (that extreme laziness). Why on earth did they have to put that game so damn close to my stupid Urban Geography class?

Retro-review: Super Castlevania IV

Buying Super Castlevania IV from the virtual console should have been the second thing you did with the Wii. The first, of course, was figuring out how to cheat the system at Wii Sports bowling. SCIV first hit store shelves in December 1991, and 19 years later, it still offers excellent platforming and one of the best soundtracks in gaming. Be sure to check out the music tribute video toward the end.

    The scene where Marsden arrives in Mexico remains one of my fondest game memories in recent years. Then Mexico kinda sucked.
